This is a blog created in the fall of 2014 by Geography 2075: Everyday Life: an Introduction to Cultural Geography.
In class we have been discussing the spaces we move through everyday, and how these spaces shape our society and our own lives. We have also talked about ways that society shapes space, and how various forms inequality and other power relations are reinforced through space.
In these blog entries students are writing about graffiti that they see everyday, in spaces that they move through regularly in the greater Toronto area (GTA). Students were asked to persuasively argue why the graffiti should stay or go, on the basis of how it affects the space it is in.
